Ingredients
For the Hummus
- 300g cooked chickpeas, drained
- 100g pumpkin purée (approximately 4 tbsp)
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 50ml Palestinian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 30ml creamy tahini
- 3 tsp Shatta chilli sauce
To Serve
- Toasted pita bread
- Pumpkin seeds
- Extra Shatta chilli sauce
- Fresh parsley
- A drizzle of Palestinian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Method
- Blend the hummus: Add the chickpeas, pumpkin purée, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, tahini, Shatta, salt, and pepper to a food processor or blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. If needed, add a splash of cold water to achieve your preferred consistency.
- Spoon the hummus into a serving bowl.
